What is Cinépolis doing in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19)?

Cleanliness of our theaters and the safety of our guests and staff have always been our top priorities. That being said, we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation, and have enhanced our cleaning regimen. As a precaution, we have heightened cleaning specifications in all areas of the cinemas, based on recommendations from the CDC and our health and safety partners. We will continue to monitor the situation to ensure we stay informed for the health and well-being of all staff and patrons.  In support of these efforts, Cinépolis will:

 

  • Sanitize door handles, counters, benches, booths, faucets, escalator railings and stair railings throughout the day.
  • Sanitize seat armrests, cup holders and tables after every show.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms throughout the day.
  • Clean and sanitize our ticketing kiosks every hour.
  • Perform nightly deep cleanings of all theaters with additional disinfecting procedures implemented by a third-party cleaning service.
  • Provide popcorn refills in a fresh, new buckets.
  • Remind each staff member to continue their meticulous hand and arm washing habits.
  • Instruct employees to never come to work if they experience fever or any flu-like symptoms and encourage immediate medical care for any potential symptoms related to or associated with COVID-19.

How do you define "child" and "senior"?

A child is 12 or under; a senior is 60 or over.

How can I purchase tickets?

You can purchase tickets online, through our Apple and Android apps, directly at the box office, or at the self-serve kiosks located next to the box office at our locations.

What is included in the ticket price?

The ticket price covers the movie and, at select locations, access to a full reclining premium leather seat and at-your-seat waiter service. Food and alcohol items are sold separately.

Can I reserve seats without purchasing them?

No, you must reserve and purchase your seats at the same time.

How can I purchase a gift card?

You can purchase Cinépolis gift cards online HERE or directly at the box office at any of our Cinépolis Cinemas. We do not process refunds on or cash out gift cards.

To purchase a gift card to one of our Moviehouse & Eatery locations online, please click HEREYour gift card is good for the purchase of admission tickets, food, and beverage items and may only be used at participating Moviehouse & Eatery locations. Your gift card may not be redeemed for cash, and unused value remains on the card. Moviehouse & Eatery is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged cards or any unauthorized use.

Gift Cards cannot be used for gratuity. If you enjoyed your service, credit cards can be run on request by your server and cash is happily accepted. Thanks for your purchase!

Can I use a gift card at any location?

Yes, you can use gift cards to purchase tickets, food, or alcohol at any Cinépolis in the US, with the exception of below:

Unfortunately, Cinépolis E-Gifts do not work on Food & Beverage at Cinépolis The Woodlands & Moviehouse locations. These E-Gifts are available at Moviehouse but need to be purchased HERE.

What happens if I buy tickets for someone else? Can they pick up the tickets if I’m not there?

Yes. The person(s) for whom you bought the tickets can use your printed email confirmation as a ticket.

Are hearing devices available for the hearing impaired?

Yes, assisted listening devices are available upon request.

Are pets allowed in the Cinemas?

Pets are not allowed in our locations. Certified service animals are welcome.

Outside Food & Beverage Policy

Outside food and beverages are not permitted.  It is Cinépolis' policy to not allow outside food or beverages into our theaters, however in certain instances such as dietary, allergies or medical reasons, our policy should never prevail over a guest's needs.  It is advised that if you need to bring in outside food or beverage into Cinépolis for one of these reasons, please alert the manager on duty before taking your seat.

What are your hours of operation?

Our theaters open 30 minutes prior to the first show time and close 30 minutes after the last movie has started.

Do your Cinemas have a lost and found?

We are not responsible for lost or forgotten items. If we find a lost or forgotten item valued at $100.00 or more, we will deliver it to local law enforcement authorities as required by law.

Does Cinépolis USA provide an assisted movie going experience?

Cinépolis USA theaters are wheelchair accessible and companion seating is provided in every auditorium. We strive to provide the best accommodations, to make all our films enjoyable for everyone.

We offer devices at select locations to enhance and amplify audio, provide closed captioning, or show narration of the action on screen. Please ask for assistance at the theater box office or Guest Services desk.

What is Cinépolis Junior?

Cinépolis Junior offers families a space to enjoy the magic of movies in an environment that caters to children, unlike anything the U.S. has seen before. The playful rooms offer families a new and entertaining way to connect through one-of-a-kind spaces designed with children in mind. Children cannot play while the film is playing. 20 minutes of playtime will start before the scheduled showtime. Additionally, there is a 15-minute intermission halfway through the film for children to play, visit concessions and take a bathroom break. Cinépolis Junior shows children’s films (G and PG only) seven days a week and offers reserved seating for guests.

What are the safety rules for Cinépolis Junior?

By entering the Cinépolis Junior theatre, you have accepted and agreed to abide by the safety rules set forth below and the Terms and Conditions available on this page. Cinépolis will not be responsible for incidents, injuries or damages due to a child’s, parent’s, or guardian’s negligence or non-compliance with the rules of the Cinépolis Junior theatre or the play area.

Please comply with the below safety rules at all times:
  • Children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Parents or guardians are responsible for the safety and actions of their children.
  • No adults may enter the Cinépolis Junior theatre unless accompanied by a child.
  • All adults and children must purchase tickets before entering.
  • To enter the play area, children must be between the ages of 3 and 12 years old and be between 3 and 5 feet tall. Adults may not use the play area.
  • Children may not wear shoes in the play area. Please place them in the shoe bins.
  • Children must wear socks in the play area.
  • No toys may be brought into the play area.
  • No running, pushing, horse play, or otherwise causing disturbances in the Cinépolis Junior theatre.
  • No food or beverages are allowed in the play area.
  • The play area may only be used before the movie and/or during intermission and/or when Cinépolis staff indicates.
  • Follow all instructions from Cinépolis staff.

What is 4DX?

Cinépolis Pico Rivera and Cinépolis Vista are both home to a state of the art 4DX auditorium. 4DX is the ultimate technology delivering a fully immersive cinematic experience. Each chair is equipped with motion simulators and programmed to the film. Inside our 4DX auditorium, motion chairs and environmental effects such as wind, bubbles, and scent work in perfect synchronicity with the action on screen. The Cinépolis 4DX auditorium show films seven days a week and offers reserved seating for guests.

What are the safety rules for 4DX?

By entering the 4DX theater, you have accepted and agree to abide by the safety rules set forth below and the Terms and Conditions available on this page. Cinépolis and/or 4DX, does not assume any responsibility or liability of any injuries or damages suffered as a result of using 4DX movie theaters.

The theater is designed for the display of 4DX movies. The experience includes movements and sudden vibrations in the seats, wind, essences, lights and other special effects. The 4DX equipment can aggravate existing medical conditions or cause users to suffer a loss of equilibrium or balance, headaches or dizziness and in extraordinary circumstances, epilepsy like symptoms.

Please comply with the below safety rules at all times:

  • Pregnant women, people with heart conditions, and people who have other conditions which may be aggravated by the effects described above should consult a physician before experiencing 4DX movies.
  • You must be at least 3 ½ feet tall and 4 years of age to experience 4DX movies.
  • Secure all loose articles (glasses, cell phones, hats, wallets, keys, etc.). The theatre is not responsible for any personal items that are lost, damaged, or stolen.
  • No more than one adult should sit in a seat.
  • Do not eat or drink during intense scenes when the seat will be most active.
  • Always follow all instructions from Cinépolis staff.

To ensure your safety, we reserve the right to deny admission to children under the age of 3 and unsupervised children under the age of seven.

CAN I EARN REWARDS POINTS ON ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES?

No, rewards members can not earn rewards points on alcoholic beverages.

What Do I Need To Know About My Private Watch Party Booking?

Good question! Here are some details about our Private Watch Parties. There is a Food and Beverage Minimum required for the space. This minimum can be achieved by individual tabs or one tab. Our full menu available for purchase. All orders including candy, popcorn, alcoholic beverages and menu items will help achieve the minimum. All menu items will have a 21% Service fee for our waitstaff. As the guest booking your Private Watch Party online, you understand that online bookings are DIY and added event services are not available.

Does Cinépolis play movies in Spanish?

We encourage guests to try TheaterEars. The TheaterEars app allows you to watch new release films at the movie theater in Spanish. Simply load the app select your movie, showtime, and language to get the movie track on your phone. When you arrive at the movie theater, TheaterEars will sync to the movie through your phone's microphone and then play the full movie soundtrack in your chosen language. When are showtimes posted?

Showtimes are posted no later than Wednesday of each week. (based on availability and subject to change)
